Steinzeug | Keramo specialises in the production and development of vitrified clay pipes and fittings.

Three production units in Hasselt (Belgium), Cologne and Bad Schmiedeberg (both in Germany) manufacture high-quality sewerage products for sewer systems and for industrial applications.

Steinzeug | Keramo offers a complete range of pipes and fittings in diameters from DN 100 mm to 1400 mm. Along with the traditional pipes and fittings with spigot and socket joints, microtunnelling pipes, inliner pipes, drainage pipes, inspection manholes and cladding sheets are all part of the product range.

Vitrified clay is a material that arises after firing high quality clay in controlled circumstances at a temperature of circa 1200 °C. In contrast to many other materials used in the sewerage industry vitrified clay is chemically and mechanically resistant and also, in part, due to its excellent hydraulic characteristics, guarantees an extremely long lifespan.

Mestdagh is a family business that was founded 35 years ago by Mr. L. Mestdagh with as main purpose to produce products of the highest quality, in other words, without addition of additives, preservatives, pigments,… .  This has subsequently proved to be a good decision, twice voted best ice cream in Belgium.  Meanwhile the range consists of: Shrimp and cheese croquettes, ice cream, cakes, and prepared dishes.  We’re already five years into our new building in Veurne, where we have obtained the highest level in food safety, namely the High Level BRC.  A new direction is taken in 2010 to impose more structure in the organization (now 25 people, and every year our turnover is growing with more than 10%) by integrating the Vivaldi Software package.

The blood transfusion center of Charleroi was created on the 17th of September 1935.  Our organization is a non-profit association responsible for the delivery of blood products to hospitals in the region of Charleroi.  We collect about 30 000 units of blood, plasma and platelets and we proceed to the processing of these blood products.  Each unit of blood or any blood component is subjected to tests for various transmittable diseases through blood.  The blood products are administrated annually to thousands of patients.   We are dependent on the Ministry of Public Health and meet the requirements for blood transfusion centers.  Our organization has been certified since the 17th of December 2001.  We ensure that our association is remains on the forefront in the field of transfusion.
